Rare catch! These beautiful original Danish dining room chairs were designed by the well-known Hans J Wegner. Produced by Carl Hansen & Son. Model: CH 29. Country of origin: Denmark. This design classic is also called the ‘sawbuck’ chairs because the model resembles a sawhorse. This chair was traditionally used in the Scandinavian countries by carpenters and lumberjacks. Originally designed in 1952 for Carl Hansen & Son. This model was taken out of production in the 1970s. 20 years later, Wegner’s daughter suggested putting this chair back into production. The CH29 chair is still a popular model to this day due to its simple construction, which offers a lot of comfort and is still visually beautiful to look at! This unique set of 4 is the original ‘old’ model from the 1960s. Still equipped with the original terracotta & brown leather seat. Considering its age they are in a good vintage condition. The leather has some signs of wear, but this gives it a nice patina. Beautiful vintage design dining room chairs for the dining room table in your living room. A real must have for the Danish design enthusiast. We do love Danish design!
