This minimalist design object is definitely a must have for lovers of Danish design. Designed in 1963 by Poul for Ejvind Kold Christensen. Two years after Poul Kjaerholm’s death (in 1982), Fritz Hansen was given the honor of bringing ‘The Kjærholm Collection’ back into production. The PK54 is a timeless design with a metal base and a marble top. The marble comes from Italy and has a beautiful veining. The leaf has a beautiful rough structure. The combination of the natural material marble and the hard metal gives this table an impressive appearance. The base is marked with: Poul Kjaerholm, Denmark, Fritz Hansen. Definitely an investment in the interior. Poul Kjaerholm is known for his designs with metal, he felt that metal deserved just as much respect as wood which was an obvious material at the time.
