Timeless Dutch vintage design! This Congo chair is a classic design by Theo Ruth for Artifort. Period: 1950s. Beautiful in its simplicity. Theo Ruth was the pioneer of Artifort’s design tradition. He created exceptional designs such as this Congo chair and the Penguin chair. For this design, he drew inspiration from a chair from Africa, which is where the chair gets its name from. Upholstered in beautiful anthracite grey fabric. This chair consists of a wooden frame where two separate parts interlock and can both be detached. Still in good vintage condition.
