They were used during the industrial revolution to store thousands of addresses of all your friends and acquaintances printed on archive cards. The old Facebook so to speak. Definitely a special piece that you rarely encounter. Easy to install due to its limited dimensions. Considering its age (pre-war) it is still in very good condition. Still equipped with the original sorting card holders. Because this vintage cabinet is completely made of metal, it is practically indestructible!
