Unique original glazed Maastricht pottery Art Deco Sphinxen from Maastricht, the Netherlands. Period: 1950s. A beautiful design by Charles Vos for Sphinx NV in Maastricht. The Yellow Sphinx is a first early edition. Recognizable by the hole at the back. Also spotted in the pottery collection of the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht. The white Sphinx is a later edition (no hole in the mold at the back) but also a feast for the eyes. This Sphinx is an absolute eye-catcher in the room and beautiful to place in the living room. No words needed.
